Got a giftcard from here so we gave it a shot. This place needs remodeling BADLY. It smelled musty and like the toilets were backing up. The prices are high, but the ambiance couldn't be cheaper. The food was decent.. until we had severe tummy issues that night. Will not go again.
I have been going to this restaurant at this location since I was a kid in the early sixties. every meal I have ever had at the schooner has been excellent they serve a mean steak too. I always get fried shrimp. Which is the best around. The gumbo just like Mama used to make with a dark roux. And the service is excellent because the staff cares
The Schooner is the best restaurant in mid county... They were open for business way before everyone else after hurricane Harvey to feed the hungry masses... Great food atmosphere drinks... And the wait staff are the best ever... Love it...
My favorite restaurant on the planet. Food is so delicious and staff is top notch. Seafood is always fresh and has great taste. We are now bring 5th generation of my family to eat here. Can't go wrong eating lunch or supper.
I ordered the rib eye steak it was excellent. Very tender and cooked the way I ordered it. There was 8 in our group everyone ordered something different and everyone was very satisfied. The waitress was not friendly but was very efficient in her job. We will go back
