Eat here when I'm in the area and the food has been great every time. Really dig the character and atmosphere this restaurant brings. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5...The service was a little slow..but I'll wait a little longer for great food.

Have been going to Taco Rey since 1967. Great food. Beef tamales are the best on the planet. I often fly in from Houston just to eat here. Rameriz family has always been welcoming and taken care of the business. Cora's recipes unchanged to this day.
